Thames turns Light Blue

The annual Oxford and Cambridge boat races were all won by the team in light blue today, a first for clean sweep for Cambridge.

Olympian James Cracknell rowed in the back of the Cambridge boat at the age of 47.

The men’s Oxford team announced a change of cox and crew to the line up announced in March.

The Cambridge ladies team won easily by a few lengths. Their Cox went to school at Westminster and had a detailed knowledge of the river Thames.

The first Oxbridge boat race took place in Henley in 1829.
